Barrier Reef Designs is a brand new women's resort wear company, the first to create prints that are inspired by the skins of different tropical fish. It had its inception when founder and designer Debbie Seaman was snorkeling over Australia's Great Barrier Reef and was so overwhelmed by the spectacular creatures darting about that suddenly she had the idea that she wanted to wear these fish! The idea was not to have pictures of fish displayed on the fabric but to proceed as if the fish skins were projected onto it. While they do put photos of the real fish on the hang tags of each garment, you will see that the prints themselves have a life of their own.
